A new way of doing flowers.

What makes our flowers different?

For many decades now, around 80% of all cut flowers sold in the United States are imported from other countries, largely from South America and the Netherlands. These flowers are shipped thousands of miles out of water and sometimes can take weeks to get to their final destination. Is it any wonder that many people think cut flowers aren’t worth it because they only expect them to last maybe two or three days in a vase?

When we started our cut flower farm in 2021, we wanted to be able to supply florists and consumers with a better option — sustainably grown, local blooms that are sold within 24-48 hours of harvesting. Our flowers are literally about the freshest you can get, and as such, you can usually expect a vase life of at least 1-2 weeks if the water is changed out regularly (at least for most of the flowers in an arrangement; some flowers, like dahlias and roses, simply don’t have a long vase life period, so you just enjoy them for as long as you can!).

Our Story

Our family moved to Sanpete in 2020, and I (Torrie) started our flower farm as a part-time thing in 2021, largely as a way to help with my mental health and also to try and see if I could make an income off of my cut flower passion. We grew for our first three seasons exclusively on our half-acre property, and business just kept growing every year.

In April 2023, our fourth and final child, Naomi Jean, was born. We found out at birth that she has Down syndrome, and the diagnosis led my husband Matt and I to have some very heart-to-heart and enlightening conversations about what we wanted our family life to look like for her, and what kinds of opportunities we wanted available for her, especially as she grew into an adult. We both felt strongly that the flower farm would be important for Naomi and a wonderful way for her to develop her talents and contribute to society and bring joy to others (as she brings to us each day), and we both decided to turn our flower farm into a full-time thing for our family in late 2023.

We continue to farm on our own property and are continually maxing it out to fit even more flowers, but we also have expanded our farm by renting out land on the north end of Manti. We are currently looking to buy farmland (ideally a minimum of five acres) to expand onto permanently, but for now, we’re able to provide thousands upon thousands of cut flower stems each season to the public and to local florists, who have been so good to support our farm.

In a nutshell, we sell seasonal cut flowers from about April to mid-October, and we also offer a variety of products for those interested in cut flower gardening, such as totes of mushroom compost, peony roots, dahlia tubers, tulip and daffodil bulbs, etc. We also have some dried flower options available in our off season, too.

Flowers are our passion, and we love being able to spread the “power of flowers” to so many!
